Accommodations

Playa Hermosa Beachfront Bungalows

With a front row bungalow it is all about the 180 degree ocean view! Since they are elevated 12 feet they are the perfect spot to watch your friend surf or take pictures of him in the barrel. Each bungalow is tastefully decorated and can comfortably sleep 4 to 6 people. All have fully fitted kitchens offering everything you could need for a self-catering vacation, if that is the package you choose. Locally made furniture makes it comfortable to lounge in front of the TV or watch a DVD. Most offer a queen sized bed in the master bedroom and a set of twin beds in the second room, while some have bunk beds and others also have a sofa bed if you need to accommodate an extra friend. You will find most of the amenities of home including washer/dryer, dishwasher, linens, appliances, pots & pans, silverware, beach towels and on and on. All bungalows have ice cold A/C in every room and high speed internet so bring your laptop. The property has a newly renovated sparkling pool and covered rancho with hammocks and chaise lounges to relax in.

If you decide to go with a pool or jungle view, do not worry. You are still a maximum of 100 steps from the sand and will probably have a slight view of the ocean from your deck or window. Travel Requirements

ENTRY / EXIT REQUIREMENTS: For entry into Costa Rica, a U.S. citizen must present a valid passport that will not expire for at least thirty days after arrival and a roundtrip/outbound ticket. Because of possible fines levied by Costa Rican Immigration, many Airlines will not permit passengers without a roundtrip ticket to board flights to Costa Rica unless they have Costa Rican citizenship, residency or a visa. There is a departure tax of $26 USD for visitors, that must be paid at the airport before boarding passes are issued. This may be paid by credit card, debit card or cash (US dollars or colones)

Passports should be in good condition; Costa Rican Immigration may deny entry if the passport is damaged in any way. Costa Rican authorities generally permit U.S. citizens to stay up to ninety (90) days.

Directions from Hermosa to the Airport

From Play Hermosa follow the Pan American Highway until you come to the highway with an overpass, exit right before the overpass onto Highway 27, you will approach a toll booth…. From this point stay on the highway, and after the 2nd toll booth take the exit for Turrucares/La Garita 136….go right and right again making you parallel with the highway you just got off…go right again so you are going under the highway and go straight for about 8 or 10 KM through La Garita ("Techno Crash" will be a good landmark on the right to make sure you are on the right track)….At the stop sign, turn Right (you will see the soccer field on your right and "Super La Garita” across the road in front of you).  Go about 5 KM and watch for the airport sign, and enter the highway and follow the signs to the Airport/San Jose.  It will be about 10KM on your right…..you cant miss it.
